If a race is bugging you, keep going, take a break, switch racers-it's no big deal. So try to pick a Bonus Box where you have at least four left, to get the most out of it.įinally, keep at it: This is a Racing game-no lives to lose, no money to pay, no RNG to miss. Also, keep in mind that Bonus boxes transfer over races in a GP! However, they are spent one at a time for each race.
Why start out with a Black Bomb Wisp when you can immediately give it to your teammate and have them do it for you for Ultimate Energy? Item Box Cloner let you keep an item after you sent it? Good! Send it again! Of course, your best bets are Faster Charging Ultimate and Extended Team Ultimate. Bonus Boxes: Bonus boxes can be used at your own leisure, but obviously put some thought into them. If you're in the third lap, you can use it a little more freely, but be careful-your opponents have Ultimates too, and too many times have I been in 1st only to see Ultimate after Ultimate pass me right at the home stretch. That will help in bridging the gap, knocking out any opponents ahead of you, and securing your lead. Remember: When all three Ultimates are activated at the same time, they last longer. They usually mention the word Ultimate as well. They'll let you know when their text bubbles at the top of the screen are yellow. Hold on to it until your teammates are ready. Save Your Ultimate: It may be tempting, but don't blast your Ultimate as soon as you get it. Of course, that also helps fill up your Ultimate meters, which I guarantee you'll need at least once.
You both get Teamwork Energy for it, and the teammate is(usually) better at using it than you are trust me. Wisps GIVE, GIVE, GIVE!: When you pick up a WIsp, always, ALWAYS-unless you need it right that moment or within the next 30 seconds or so-always give it to your teammate(by pressing ). If no difficulty shows up at all, congrats- you don't have to play that stage.
If a key is blocking the corner, another way to check is to select it-if the Expert difficulty is locked, that means you still need to beat it on Hard. One stripe is Normal, two stripes is Hard. Check your progress: If you don't know which chapters you've done or not, check the corner. Don't forget, the bigger the speed gap between you two, the faster the boost for them. Not only that, but if your teammates are having trouble, your Skimboost will REALLY put them forward. Pick Up Those Rings:You may not believe it, but they actually really help with your speed. That means learning, mastering and remastering the Start Line Boost, Slingshotting and Skimboosting like crazy, and flipping and spinning for boost power and/or course correction. Boost, Drift and Trick: Get used to boosting any way you can, performing as many tricks as (safely) possible, and drift on every turn. It's suggested that you finish Adventure Mode on Normal first, if nothing else to get a feel of the tracks, racers and computer patterns. Don't worry, the Hard AI still makes rookie mistakes, like falling off the track and hitting walls. There's a good chance on your first race you might freak out. Get practiced: While Hard mode is doable to complete/win, it is a little more difficult than Normal. You don't have to complete these as a specific character luckily, so go with whom you like! Race with whomever you're most comfortable or skilled. All the others don't have difficulty select, so your work is cut down into about a third. That means the Team Race, Survival Race, Showdown Race and Grand Prix. It's not as much as you think: Luckily, the only stages you're required to complete are the Races. I won't be uploading any videos for this solution, as there isn't any specific thing you need to do to win, and the worst consequence of failure is restarting a GP. Here's some tips and tricks to help out with the Adventure Hard mode.
